0452 Mild-to-moderate OSA and mortality in general population: the modifying effect of age and cardiovascular/cerebrovascular morbidity

Abstract Introduction Mild-to-moderate obstructive sleep apnea (mOSA) is highly prevalent in the general population and comorbid with cardiovascular and/or cerebrovascular diseases (CBVD). We examined association between mOSA all-cause mortality modifying effect of age CBVD. Methods A total 1681 adults 20-88 years old from Penn State Adult Cohort (41.9% male, 10.5% racial/ethnic minority) were followed up for 20.1±6.2 mortality. The presence was defined as an apnea/hypopnea index 5-29.9 events/hour. CBVD a report diagnosis or treatment heart disease stroke.
